  • I read the entire article, it is from 6 days ago, it has all the speculations possible (see some below) , not just sinkholes. Sinkholes are unheard of in Miami Beach. Sinkholes are very common in Central Florida, and they swallow up houses and cars in an instant. If it was a sinkhole, it will be easy to see and find. The part about the gradual sinking of the ground (1+ mm per year. would take like 20 years to sink 1 inch if the rate continues)  would not affect the building because the building is built on pilings, like a house on stilts, the surface ground could sink 3 feet and then just more stilt is exposed.
    The article also says:
Sinkholes are not unheard of in Miami beach; there were two subsidence incident reports filed with the State nearby Surfside. However, I  agree that the majority of sinkholes are located in the central party of the state.

At this point, I've just got to throw this out there, is it possible that central and southern Florida just might not be fit for human habitation and real estate development on a massive scale?  (I say this in all seriousness, not with some sarcastic undercurrent about how Florida tends to attract, shall we say, a certain "element", witness the many "Florida Man" memes.)   If the ground is that fragile, if sinkholes can open up and swallow whatever is built on them, and if the climate is that hostile to large-scale building, perhaps it's in God's plan for that area to remain wild, wetlands slowly descending into the ocean, IOW, one big huge Everglades-like region.

Of course, I know that doesn't put money in anybody's pocket, and in America, that's what makes the world go round.  Maybe Miami, pleasant though it may be, just isn't meant to be there.  Ditto Orlando.  (Something about building on shifting sand, eh?)

Is that where McAfee’s deadman’s switch was supposed to be thrown?

Wow! Great find. This news puts a controlled demolition back on the table. I would not rule foul play by hαɾɾιs/Biden/Obama.

It's an image of a tweet which any 12 year old can produce in a few minutes out of thin air.

This has already been discussed on this thread. It is chaff meant to hide the truth.
If McAfee owned a unit there, what unit is it and under what name did he buy it, for the Miami-Dade County property records do not show any McAfee owning a unit there.

  • Apparently the daughter of one of the firefighters was found.  It appears her memorial has a rosary and miraculous medals with her picture.

  • I heard on the news that the condo is going to be immediately torn down.  In any police investigation tearing down the scene
of crime without a complete investigation in what caused the collapse is confirmation that something is being covered up.

    Debunked.

    1) When we focus on useless nonsense like this, we're forgetting the human aspect of this. If God forbid, this happened to your family, we wouldn't be doing any of this fortune cookie voodoo with you. We would be doing the exact opposite.

    2) You can alter the text of anything. Right click in your browser on a box of text and go to "inspect element". You'll see the text along with some code. You can literally edit the text right there on that page to be anything you want.

    3) John McAfee had lived in Belize for a very long time. The United States is one of only two countries that taxes citizens abroad. He never gave up his US passport, so he was subject to this law. If they wanted to get him, they had a very long time.

  • The US government has been after McAfee for years. He has been a kind of modern wild west type of character, always evading the authorities.  Even with a passport a country would have to have an extradition agreement. I think that is why Spain was holding him for US taxes- awaiting extradition. I'm not sure if Belize has one ( agreement)All I know is that the guy never stayed still.

Supposedly, it's out of necessity, due to the impending tropical storm (which could always become a hurricane).  I do have to wonder, though, how this would contrast with the hazard to public safety, if the ruined condos were just allowed to stay as they are, to take a direct hit, and fall down on their own.  Flying debris?  Further danger to the "rescue" workers --- reality check, everyone, they're all dead, all you can do now is pray for their souls, and go in and recover their remains when that is possible.  I don't know.  I'm neither an architect or a FEMA risk analyst.

  • Remaining Surfside Condo Structure Demolished Ahead of Tropical Storm

Building collapsed away from existing debris will expand search and rescue efforts, officials say

A demolition crew has collapsed the remaining structures of the collapsed condo in Surfside, Florida.
Explosives were set off at 10:30 p.m. ET at Champlain Towers South in a controlled operation that officials say will aid search and rescue efforts for the remaining 121 victims still missing following the June 24 collapse.
Officials say the detonation was also to manage risks of the damaged building falling on its own as Tropical Storm Elsa approaches.
“We want to make sure that we control which way the building falls, and not a hurricane,” Mayor Charles Burkett of Surfside told reporters before the demolition.
Twenty-four people are known to have died. No one has yet to be found alive from the disaster as rescue efforts continue.
Burkett also told CBS News that the demolition would bring the building down in a westward direction so that the search and rescue area on the other side of the building with potential survivors is not affected.
He emphasized that the operation continues to be a search and rescue, not a recovery effort, citing a BBC docuмentary which outlines survivability after a building collapse.
“This rescue effort, as far as I’m concerned, will go on until everybody’s pulled out of that debris,” he said.
Demolition staff worked Saturday to drill holes for the explosives to bring the damaged building down.
A Miami-Dade fire official said previously that search teams could resume their work between 15 and 60 minutes after the demolition.

Speaking to reporters Sunday night, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava explained that the demolition method being used is called “energetic felling” and “uses small, strategically placed explosives and relies on gravity to bring the building down in place.”
The method would bring the tower down and away from the debris, allowing an expanded search to previously inaccessible areas, she said.
Cava on Friday signed the emergency order to demolish the remaining part of the building. Officials previously said they expected it would take weeks for a demolition to be scheduled.
Prior to the demolition, Levine said nearby residents were urged to stay indoors as a precautionary measure due to dust and other particles that will be an “unavoidable byproduct” of the demolition.
Those living between 86th Street and 89th Street, Abbott Avenue and the shoreline were instructed to shelter in place between 7 p.m. ET until two hours after the demolition. They’ve been asked to keep their windows closed.
Investigators have yet to determine what caused a large section of the 40-year-old building to collapse in the early hours of June 24. However, in 2018 it was flagged by an engineering firm for “major structural damage.”
The county requires buildings to undergo recertification starting at the 40-year mark and every 10 years thereafter. The Champlain Towers South was built in 1981.
Cava told reporters on Wednesday that she backs a probe by State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle that would examine the factors that led to the collapse of the 12-story building.
“I have pledged my full cooperation as she moves forward,” the mayor said. “I will do—and my team will do—everything possible to aid them in their efforts to continue that investigation.”
Rundle said she would bring the matter before grand jurors soon.
“I am going to urge them to take a look at it,” she told the Miami Herald. “Whether they do or not, it’s completely their decision.”
Tropical Storm Elsa is expected to arrive in South Florida on Tuesday, bringing wind speeds of 60 mph and heavy rain.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Tropical storm was just a excuse to destroy the scene of the crime in which a proper investigation cannot be done.
    It is a coverup.
