  • I live in Miami-Dade, close to where this happened, and it wasn't sabotaged. Florida is sinking because the soft sediments underlie the state are compacting. The islands built up from coral and sand underlain by the marls and limes of the region means the area is sinking, and adding a building on top of it only makes it sink more. Florida was under the ocean when the sea level was higher, well before the Ice Ages. That was about 50-15K years ago but was exposed during the Ice Age. That's when the state was created. The water level has increased since the middle of the last Ice Age, and erosion of the state began the minute it was exposed above the ocean. No one is going to "fix" that. No one will stop the next warm-cold cycle and the future Ice Age that will expose the state more if it doesn't get drowned in the meantime.

Combine all of the above with corrupt politicians being bribed to get building permits through even with third-world construction, and you see the results.

Btw, the neo-SSPX priory in Florida had nothing to say about the collapse. No call for prayers for the dead or missing, nothing.  Their bulletin was loaded with all sorts of fundraising initiatives.  Even the Novus Ordo sect had a priest in the area counseling the families.  I would say this particular area is primarily Jєωιѕн, but Miami-Dade County has a vast Catholic population, the largest in the state.

That meaning of the sacred dogmas is ever to be maintained which has once been declared by holy mother church. (Dei Filius)

  • It goes to show that people are greedy and will cut corners if it can save them money, human lives be damned.

Boeing had a defective part on one of their planes, the 737 Max. They did nothing to fix it until two crashes later. Where everyone died.

The same exact thing is happening right now in Surfside.

Yes, in Florida and many other places. They own WAY too much waterfront and oceanfront property for Climate Change to be real.

All the spokesmen for the Green movement are complete hypocrites, like Al Gore. Flying around in jets, with mahogany desks made of Redwoods, owning waterfront property. And they preach that to save the earth, WE all must live in a 200-square foot pod in an 80-story highrise, have 1 child at most, own nothing, and "eat the bugs".

They can take a long leap off a short pier.

  • What I find disturbing is the fact that they won't even say it's *possible* that this could be terrorism/bombing, etc.  What are they afraid of?

Total BS. No offense intended, but the writer above knows nothing about construction in Miami-Dade County. If what he wrote was correct, high rises crashing to the ground would be as common as Japanese cars on the road.

The building is the town of Surfside, which is located in Miami-Dade County. I know construction and I know the area very well. The building is a condominium, it is owned by the individual owners of each unit. In Miami-Dade County condos are required to have a 40 year inspection. I do not keep up with the latest news, but I am told that it had the 40 year inspection. It may not have passed and they were in the process of fixing the failures, but for failures to bring down a building they would have to be so serious that they would have evacuated the building at first discovery. This building collapse smells of something else. Like you said "  The building disintegrated. And the building came down in it's own footprint. Even the pool nearby remained clear and blue". The building just North of the collapse is only like 32 feet away and it did not even get dust. The building also didn't fall  1 inch unto the beach on the East side. Miami- Dade County has the strictest building codes in all of the South, due to hurricanes, floods, salt water (storm surge & corrosion). Large condos like these are all fully inspected and approved at every step during the whole permitting and construction process. If this building fell due to insufficient building codes, then all the 1000's of other condos in South Florida will soon be falling. There are a lot of Israeli's living there and the majority by far of the residents are Jews. All is very suspicious. May be something to do with taking out someone? Time will tell.

  • Our MSM in Canada stated there was "a tight knit Jєωιѕн community" and they were callling in a Rabbi for whatever reason.

Also inspection reports (82 pages) from 2018 indicated severe deterioration and that is why the repairs were started albeit on the roof but the foundation for the pool and the garage were damaged.
When you have a building that needs repairs, why wouldn't you start on the lower stories and work your way up, especially if there is structural damage on those lower stories?  I'm not an architect, but don't the lower stories bear the load of the higher ones?

The Church has never infallibly defined whether the world was created only a few thousand years ago or several billion years ago.  The Church has infallibly determined that the Universe is of finite age (i.e., that it has not existed from all eternity).  And that Universe was created out of nothing.

As for Dinasours or other creatures, the Church does not have an official position on where different life forms developed over time. It says if they did, it was done under the **guidance of God***.

I have read articles from the Kolbe center and consider them a  good source. And unlike Bergolio and the Vatican II sect,  I take Genesis literally.

But in her Christmas liturgy, the age given of the world is that stated by Romulus. So even if you disagree, I don't see how it deserves a facepalm, for one to believe in the age of the world as taught by the Church in her liturgy (even if it was not defined infallibly) on a traditional Catholic forum.

I don't see how you could object to the 6 or 7 thousand year or so timeline and say you take genesis literally? That is what it says if you take it literally.

My point is that the Church itself does not say the earth is 7,220 years old. I am sorry if you took offense. Anyway, this thread is about a building collapse, not a debate about creationism vs. evolution.
