Wealthy rural White landowners?  Of course they want rid of them if they don’t play along.  
The already dirt poor, like Appalachia?  No need to bother.  They’re doing a good job of killing themselves off with moonshine, opioids, no jobs, a useless educational system, crumbling infrastructure, lousy and virtually inaccessible healthcare, nonexistent dental care, petty crime, loss of morals, accidents, loss of old-time life skills, hopelessness, ѕυιcιdє, loss and absence of religious faith.
