Great!  But as with Obama what will we get afterwards.  Perhaps in both places a black  women, lesbian, transgender.  Why not?

To be clear I am not against blacks but we need to take this affirmative action as far is can go.  Obama is only half-way.   I would gladly vote for a real black man if he were Alan Keyes.

I despise Bergoglio's "papacy" so much. He's done so much to blaspheme Christ, His Catholic and Apostolic Church, and Our Lady in what? 16 months? It's a travesty.

At the same time, I kinda don't want him to resign. The reason?

We'll get someone farther-left, farther away from Catholicism and much more diabolically-oriented than Francis. Once you've crossed that threshold, it's hard to say if one can really deign to be called Christian.

There IS a conservative faction of the Cardinals, but in a world where someone like Timothy Dolan was considered papabile, it shows that this group only wants perfidy and not a return to the Church of Christ.

Gospodi, pomiluj.

Although I tend to agree that we'll probably get someone worse, there's always hope that God will send us a true pope next time. Some way, somehow.

I guess I can't complain that you're giving your source, but most people can only read the first couple paragraphs of the story. It's subscription-only.

You should have posted the whole article here so everyone can read it.

There are plenty of other sources of this story. If they want to sell their story, fine. I'll find it elsewhere for free:

“I try to think of my sins, my mistakes, so as not to think that I am somebody,” he said. “Because I know this will last a short time, two or three years, and then (go) to the house of the Father,” he said during an in-flight media conference.

He seems pretty darn sure of where he's headed.  Is this the way past popes would speak?

I think that Borgolio was elected because he is an "Argentinian" liberal.  I think the only reason we get conservative appearing popes/claimants is for damage control/assimilation and to devour resisters(sspx).   I don't think that fssp/icksp types are welcome, except in looks(red shoes).  Remember, benedict xvi made sure not to celebrate the 1962 when in the sistine chapel(he celebrated the NO facing away).

Providence was warning him of his disastrous affects on the Catholic
Church because of his heresy's and denial of the Catholic Faith.
The warning came when he lost three relatives in an accident
recently.
I would not address him as Pope or the Vicar of Christ, but the
protestant bishop of Rome.
If he decides to resigns.  It will just be one clown replacing an
another clown in costume white robes, or a white suit.

I expect he will resign.  2 "popes" in a row resigning will make the papacy seem like just another job.  I wouldn't be surprised if he goes out proclaiming that he know longer sees a need for the papacy.  I really think he is intentionally trying to minimize the office.
