  • Here above, is a miraculous image of an altar on which is a lamb in front of a cross
sent by heaven to Knock, west Ireland on 21st August 1879.
Never before or after in history of apparitions did an altar and lamb appear.
Surrounding the representation of the Mass were six angels.
Here then is confirmation from heaven that angels exist and the form given to them by God.

  • I just read in a book about Padre Pio and the Guardian Angels that at baptism everyone receives a Guardian Angel.  I always thought it was at conception. Has the church taught when we get our Guardian Angel?  Thanks in advance for  helping me understand. If it is at baptism, then there are many people these days without Guardian Angels.

  • I wouldn’t name my Angel because he may already have a name given by God. I do pray the Angel prayer every day. I’m sure mine has intervened to preserve my life on at least two occasions. There are no doubt more about which I have no knowledge.

No, everyone gets a guardian angel at their conception, some theologians say at birth, but either way it's not at baptism. There are all the souls in the OT that were never baptized, including St. Joseph. Then there's Our Blessed Mother, who had 1000 Guardian Angels.

  • I remember that there was a saint (but I can't remember which one) that would always open the door for his guardian angel to enter or leave before him.
Yes I have also heard this. I remember reading that for most of us, our Guardian Angel goes before us; but for priests, the Angel defers to the priest to go first.

  • Nuns used to tell us a priest gets an extra angel because the devil probably assigns more demons to him when he's ordained.
