For what doth it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what exchange shall a man give for his soul?

  • Do you have any Breviaries that have the Vulgate Psalter and were published anywhere between 1925-1955?

Sorry, no I don’t. I do have a Liber Usualis and 2 or 3 Missale Romanums.

  • You do realize that it was written by a Catholic from a Catholic perspective?
Even if they were written before he apostatized, Luther had a very perverted mind. Why waste you time?

Luther was formally excommunicated for heresy not apostasy. Many Catholic books were written about heretics and apostates included Saint Alphonsus’ History of Heresies. These books were not only written with the intention of exposing their errors to Catholics, but also to help those who unfortunately embraced their errors.

Luther renounced the Catholic faith. That's apostasy.

  • Also, Luther violated his religious vows, left religion, and renounced his sacerdotal state, which also constitutes apostasy (II-II q. 12 a. 1 co.):
    Quote
a man may apostatize from God, by withdrawing from the religious life to which he was bound by profession, or from the Holy Order which he had received: and this is called "apostasy from religious life" or "Orders."

By definition it is the English translation from the Latin Vulgate. I do have a reprint of the early English version.
