    • Just wanted to post of couple of thoughts on Dr. John Rock, inventor of the abortion pill.  Some years ago I pulled a book from the U of L library on the life of Dr. John Rock (d. 1984).  He was the inventor of the Abortion Pill and it was the infamous Bp. Richard Cushing who signed off on his actions.  Two things are of interest:  1. I remember that Dr. Rock placed his son and daughter in a Catholic school in the Boston area and the nuns were teaching Extra Ecclesiam Nulla Salus.  Dr. Rock did not like this fact, and he pulled his children from this institution because of this fact.  2.  Rock's son one night wanted to attend a party.  Dr. Rock told him not to go, and the son disobeyed and went anyway.  The son died in a violent car wreck.  I cannot help but see this as a bit of divine justice. 

    I decided to post this in the "Fr. Feeney Ghetto" for obvious reasons.  I am a Fr. Feeney/Fr Wathen fan (I met Fr. Wathen in 1989).  I currently attend Fr. Bitzer's chapel in Louisville, Ky.  I also run the Orestes Brownson website: http://orestesbrownson.org.

    • Kennedy clan was also close with Cushing, and pressured Cushing to suppress Father Feeney.  And who is unaware of the tragedy that has followed them around?

    • Amen to that Lad.  And I remember the story of Bobby Kennedy coming to Fr. Feeney, calling him out for saying that his "Protestant friends" would not be saved.  I remember the late Mike Malone, author of The Only Begotten.  He told me that he was there when the bishop lifted the excommunication of Fr. Feeney.  Apparently, the Priest/Bishop asked Fr. Feeney to recite the Apostles' Creed.  Fr Feeney recited the Athanasian Creed in Greek.  Gotta love it! 

    nota bene:  I spoke to Mike Malone on the phone as he was dying of cancer.  He was telling his doctors that they had to become Catholic if they wanted to be saved.  One of the doctors converted.

    That heretic!  Telling people there's no salvation outside the Church.

    It's an incredible diabolical inversion where many "Trads" even believe that a dogma of the Church is actually heresy.
