  Of course you don't know, but excommunication involves a procedure, which is ruled by reason, facts and a legal process.  But to your emotional/feminized mind, none of that matters.  So you think an excommunication happens at the whim of someone in rome, like a fairytale, who makes rulings like disney princess, or a petulant 4-year old.

Yes, there is definitely such a thing, where there's almost a Pavlovian conditioned response to this subject, where people begin foaming at the mouth as if Feeneyism, rather than Modernism, was the "synthesis of all heresies".

That's one reason I've grown weary of debating this topic, because those who have made up their minds refuse to listen to reason.

They believe what they want to believe.  Those on the other hand who seek truth, and wish to really investigate the matter, they will find the truth.

As mentioned, I used to believe in BoD because I believed the assertion that "Trent taught it" and that "the Church Fathers unanimously taught it".

Then I found out that most Church Fathers rejected it, i.e. that this was a lie.

Then I read Trent in Latin and found that, "wait a minute, Trent has no intention of teaching BoD here".

So, I had no prior ill disposition against BoD, just that ... I decided to have a look and found that the reality was far different than what the pro-BoD = anti-EENS crowd had distorted it into.
