Irrelevant.  Fr Feeney was excommunicated for disobedience (same as +ABL) not for heresy.

He wasn't excommunicated for his views.  He wasn't a heretic.  So the excommunication has nothing to do with his books or ideas.  Are you able to grasp why this matters?
