Spread that bod knowing it pacifies people and ultimately prevents heroism for bringing Baptism to difficult situations.  What a winner!

The book is nothing but a compilation of the works of saints, doctors, popes, council's, etc.
Most of whom, by definition (of sainthood), were heroic Christians.
"Be kind; do not seek the malicious satisfaction of having discovered an additional enemy to the Church... And, above all, be scrupulously truthful. To all, friends and foes alike, give that serious attention which does not misrepresent any opinion, does not distort any statement, does not mutilate any quotation. We need not fear to serve the cause of Christ less efficiently by putting on His spirit". (Vermeersch, 1913).

  • I love and respect the saints, but Catholics know that when a direct contradiction arises along with deadly fallout the contradiction is causing, along with the perennial teachings of the Church denying those outside the Church can be saved, the saints must fall silent.  Bod is destroying the missionary mandate, making people put hope in an empty promise that cannot be proven and has certainly been condemned in canon law.  Metaphors cannot save, justify, forgive sin or wash clean. Pretending it can and promoting that as an alternative to Baptism sets up a false religion de facto.  There is no need to further bod.  It won't benefit anyone by doing so.

The argument is for a BOD is an argument against the dogmatic decrees of the Catholic Church, who ever quotes saints, doctors etc. are behind the times because "Roma locuta; causa finita est" -

Whoever saith that the sacraments are not necessary unto salvation, let them be anathema. - Trent

Even the most rabid BODers admit that a BOD is not a sacrament.

The argument for a BOD is an argument against the dogmatic decrees of the Catholic Church.
"But Peter and the apostles answering, said: We ought to obey God, rather than men." - Acts 5:29

Indeed, nothing but over 100 quotes from all Catholic authorities throughout Church history, and the Feeneyites condemn hate it!

    Can you spell h-e-r-e-t-i-c ?

Indeed, quoting saints to argue against even one dogmatic decree after repeatedly being corrected - yes, I agree, you are a heretic.

  • Sources of exclusive Salvation by and in the Catholic Church,

The Council of Florence, The Council of Trent, The voice and will of Jesus Christ as declared by them.

One argues against these Divine pronouncements at his own peril.

Another indisputable imperative given by the God/Man in His Divine Testament,

    Quote
"He that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved: but he that believeth not shall be condemned."
