These are terms invented by a fallible theologian.
And approved by the Church.  It explains why Trent taught what it did.  And how Trent could have taught what it did.  God never insists on the impossible.

You are stuck the the protestants who pit Faith against everything else as if it is the enemy of work or charity.  You pit water against sanctifying grace.

So a practicing Hindu is saved in Hinduism, but not by Hinduism?  So because of their ignorance and their love for Shiva, Parvati, or Brahma, etc... and their willingness to all that their false God wills, the Catholic Church intercedes and saves them?
