  • Augustinus, this is what you wrote the other week - "If you wish to contest or debate this, it is for this purpose I have signed up. Name the time place and topic."

I suggest that you stick with your intention and not spend time in other threads.

Here are two books that fully explain my position in detail. Both approved by two different Archbishops, and one is a second edition:

God and Man: Lectures on Dogmatic Theology, Volume 2
    By L. Labauche, 1916

Is There Salvation Outside the Catholic Church?
    By Jean Vincent Bainvel, 1917-1920

You need to find a theological treatise that explicitly contradicts these. No short-hand material.
"there can be no holiness where there is disagreement with the pope" - Pope St. Pius X

Today, only Catholics holding the sedevacantist position are free from the anguish entailed by this truth.

  • Augustinus, Nado (aka Bumphrey) is not of good will.  You're wasting your time discussing anything with him.  He's not seeking the truth but simply wants to promote his agenda.  He's a heretic and a schismatic.  Avoid him like the plague that he is.

    Ladi (second account for Stubborn),

On the contrary, Augustinus has been proven wrong here. I am not at all surprised that at this point in the conversation you would recommend he stop "wasting his time", as this is a tactic you have used all along (bailing right at the point you don't have an answer).

In another post you just said that you were no longer going to respond to messages from Bumphrey or myself - given that there's no longer a HIDE button on here, that was great news and I wish you would keep your word.

Yeah, I suppose that I just faked the strong disagreement Stubborn and I had on the sedevacantist thread.

You flatter yourself to think that Bosco follows all of your posts!  His message is, that you appear insane like Stubborn.

Pretty bad when you lose to an idiot's arguments!

You're not keeping your word. Not surprising.

  • This is all so ridiculous. Frankly, there is very little difference between Bump and Aug on this topic, they actually believe the same thing, just get to the conclusion differently. One says faith in the Trinity and Incarnation are necessary and the other says it isn't. You both deny the necessity of the Sacrament of Baptism. They are both happy as long as neither of them believe it's necessary to actually receive Baptism. How one arrives at this fictional loophole to Baptism and being in the Church for salvation matters not. I bet Aug probably realizes this and lost interest.

We can presume Augustinus is in the process of trying to find thorough sources for his stand. He has a lot better sense than most Feeneyites about how the Church is truly divine and saves her members.

The idea that one could go contrary to something in the Baltimore Catechism is a mortal sin, and quite absurd to think the "Holy" and "Divine" institute founded, and perpetually headed by Christ, could approve of a catechism that contained error against a previously defined solemn dogma....and for nobody to notice for generations!

It's a mortal sin to go against the catechism, and if you still even have the Faith, you are close to losing it entirely.

  • One says faith in the Trinity and Incarnation are necessary and the other says it isn't.

This is not a trivial difference by any means.  Bumphrey denies this so that his heretical "church" can include any manner of infidel.
