  • Everyone knows Don McLean for "American Pie", which I think is one of the most important songs of our times. But as an artist, I love "Vincent":

    :jumping2:

I am trying to write a novel in three parts. There are thirteen parables in the first part of three, Thirteen Fantasies, One of the Key fantasies is called Van Gogh's "Pieta", after the painting by the famous artist who used to be a protestant preacher. It is about the sacrifice of a husband for the conversion of the wife to the faith. The good wife who does not yet believe, generously offers up the death of her husband and gives him to God and becomes a widower and for her sacrifice, she is rewarded with the faith. The story ends with the wife (now a widow for the second time, for her fist husband also died, and both husbands died of the same illness, heart disease) walking out of the hospital where her dead husband lay, and making the sign of the Cross.

    From my story:

    DANIELA
Why won’t you stay with me for another year? You told me you would go to hell for me. Won’t you give me this so I can have you for another year? You are as stubborn as Carlos but even crazier. Even he did not have ideas as strange as yours.

    R.I.P.
Please pray for the repose of my soul.
