  • Where can I find a 'station' or stream of (ideally free) holy chant, liturgical music, and otherwise edifying music forinternet listening? Or via a phone app?

I don't own enough classical to have enough variety, and a decent number of composers were diabolical Freemasons and infuse their music with thematic elements that are either evil or devoid of focus on God.

It would be nicenot tojust have 'neutral' non-offensive music but actually 'Catholic' compositions, chant, psalm, church music (no modernist protty 'christian music' either).

I came to discover Zelenka's sacred compositions last year and I was really impressed. His Missa Votiva, composed in thanksgiving to God for the grace of the recovery from a serious illness, is as good as Bach's Mass in B minor or any of the masses composed by Haydn. A masterpiece.

I second spotify. There is a free version (you'll listen to some annoying ads now and then) and you can select albums from a huge library. Not perfect, but very good.

  • Youtube has a good selection of Beethoven, Mozart, Bach and Bruckner that you can download, at least for starters. HV Karajan is my preferred conductor. :-)

  • I always try to post the chants of the pertinent Sunday and feast on the Sacred Liturgy subforum. The link I use is http://www.renegoupil.org/
