  • Are you here among the trees.

Are you here while on our knees.

I fear you may be so very far away.

Where are you. Please help me find you on this day.

Are you here when we fight.

Are you here on this dark night.

Am I closer now to you that I seek.

Please help me, for now I am tired and weak.

I open my heart to you in my despair.

Here you are Lord, you were always there.

    God bless.....

  • My Catholic sense has awoken.... seems like Protestant drivel to me.
For what doth it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what exchange shall a man give for his soul?

  • I find your reply very odd! Im not certain quite how to reply. As one catholic to another I would not think speaking of this way would mean nothing other than speaking of Jesus. Very strange.
Well anyway I respect your opinion to be sure.
Peace be with you and God bless....

I didn’t mean to offend you, but what you posted was sentiment. Catholicism is not sentimental, nor a feeling, nor an emotion, nor an opinion, it is truth.

  • It's like a Protestant fortune cookie — full of vague theology and warm, fuzzy sentiments.

  • This post reminded me of the prot sweatshirt I saw last year.     "I love:
                                                                                                        coffee,
                                                                                                        puppies,
                                                                                                        naps,
                                                                                                        and Jesus."

Garydavid, you are communicating a message which others may not understand. YOu were better off to just tell us about yourself, a bit of your history, your Catholic practice etc. etc. We actually have an "introduce yourself" thread or you could do it right here on this one. WElcome anyway. HAve you searched out the tradition of the Catholic Church. I ask because your posts so far make me think that you don't understand the Catholic faith, but are heavily influenced by protestant or newchurch sentimentalism. GOd bless you too.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

St John of the Cross used to take the novices out into the local wilderness for meditation. He was no Protestant. We need to look at these things wit a Catholic sense.
