We know from the shroud what Jesus' face looked it. Further, we have firsthand descriptions. Yet, the shroud does not give eye color, hair color or skin color. We have this from firsthand accounts, and visions of the Saints, and it is not impossible if you study the line of David and the genealogy of Christ. Of course, enemies of Our Lord are quick to dismiss the art of centuries and the shroud as a medieval forgery despite the mountains of scientific evidence for the shroud. They say that Europeans and Americans pray to Jesus as a white and fair figure because they are white supremacists, etc.

Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich commented on Jesus' physical appearance, noting that He had a beautiful bright olive skin tone tinged with red, golden hair, and a serene countenance. ... Nose and areas below eyes slightly tanned from travel in the open. .... Fair but healthy looking in His youth.... Tall and majestic of stature..

We have the letter of Publius Lentullus, 1st hand eyewitness, which they also say is medieval forgery:
"A man of extraordinary physical symmetry and striking, singular beauty." "Tall or medium-sized man of well-proportioned, straight, and commanding physique."
His hair is the color of an unripe hazelnut (or chestnut), straight down to his ears, but flowing into graceful, wavy curls over his shoulders. It is parted exactly down the middle of his head "after the fashion of the Nazarenes".
"His forehead is smooth, high, and imposing. His face is without spot or wrinkle, featuring a reddish, slightly tanned, or ruddy complexion. His nose and mouth are formed with perfect symmetry"
"He has an abundant, thick beard that is the same color as his hair. It is not long and is distinctly divided (forked) at the chin."
"His eyes are described as blue-gray, clear, bright, and quick, displaying an innocent yet deeply penetrating and intelligent gaze."

The Gamaliel description, another firsthand account. (another one they say is forgery)
"Tall stature with slightly drooped shoulders. Blue eyes that lit up with a brilliant expression when speaking of divine things. Golden-colored hair and beard, partly attributed to sunburn. A thin face and a swarthy (tanned) complexion."

Does anyone have more insight on this topic? Any books or articles worth a read? Do we actually have a description of Christ from Pilate?

fellas always be saying "Jesus wasn't white, blonde and blue-eyed like He's commonly depicted" and it's like what images of Jesus are y'all seeing? I have literally never seen that.

The Jews of Christs time (ie the real Jews of history) were white.  Plenty of accounts of Greek history (when the Greeks were trying to destroy the Israelite religion in the Maccabees) that say there was little difference in appearance between the Greeks and Israelites except the Greeks walked around half naked.   

The Greeks themselves were (as much evidence shows but which anti-Catholic historians would fail to admit) that they are an offshoot of one of the 10 tribes of Israel that broke from the 12 after the fall of Solomon.  Then the Assyrian conquered the 10 tribes’ land but the peoples spread out and started other cultures (ie Greeks) and gave up the Israelite religion.  

After Christ died, there was a reason that St Paul preached the gospel to all the “white folk” in the Greek and Egyptian areas (yes, the original Egyptians were white, as were the Persians).  St Paul preached to them because they had the spiritual heritage of Abraham, being the lost tribes of which Christ said “there are other sheep which are not of this fold…”.  

The 10 tribes being all the European nations that were formerly the 10 tribes.  All of these nations, generally, converted eventually to the Faith.  Celtics, British, Saxons, Greeks, Egyptians, etc. were all white peoples who came originally from Abraham and the 12 tribes.  

All non-white peoples throughout history have only converted partially or not at all.  The Japanese and Chinese and pacific peoples have a very LOW conversion rate.  The African nations are a mixed bag.  The Filipinos and South Americans have all converted en mass (but that was after inter-marriage with white Catholics).   

Adam was white (fair skinned and ruddy cheeks…the name ‘Adam’ means red).  Christ is the new Adam and He was white too.  

God told Abraham that his nation would be as many peoples as the stars in the sky.  Was this fulfilled in the Old Testament?  No.  This promise was fulfilled when the Church and the Apostles re-converted the 12 tribes to Catholicism and white peoples grew Europe into the Holy Roman Empire with billions of Catholics in history.
