As some of you already know, I love selling my art via the Internet, and when a Catholic image sells my heart leaps because it gives me hope; people in the world are starving for Catholic images. Many of my sales come from novus ordo Catholics who still appreciate the inspiration from a Catholic image.

So I am trying to get my website inventory increased and have created a gallery of Catholic art images, mainly watercolor paintings but a few photos also. These images can be purchased as prints in various sizes. You can click the image to see the sizes of prints. They are printed by Fine Art America, and handled by them, my cut is very small. My reward is knowing that Catholic images are available. Serving God is my goal.

Yes, I have other themes there as well, but the joy of selling the Catholic art is so thrilling to my soul, I can't begin to tell you.

If you enjoy one of the images, you can also just purchase a greeting card through Fine Art America of the desired image.

Also if anyone wants me to paint a particular saint, I will do my best and there is no obligation to purchase, I just love the challenge. You can send me a picture, or I will find one myself for reference. I am currently working on St. Theresa.

I created this image from a photograph I'd taken of the outside of the Guadalupe Cathedral in downtown Dallas, TX. The exterior shows it old history beautifully. Futher, I was inspired to add in the figure in prayer, eternally devoted, for you can tell that it is a spirit. Anyone who may be interested I do have a larger size of this as well.

I have previously posted one version of this photo; however, I also wanted to share a variation. It was my attempt to present an angel in prayer. Again, I convey the spirit of the angel by making the figure slightly transparent. Please forgive the size on this page. I know it's rather large.

Browsing through the pages here I've seen that several people hold Joan of Arc in high regard. It was actually through this saint that I was called back to the Church so she has very special significance to me as well. The attatched is a manuscript page I did including the coat of arms given to her family by Charles VII. The script is from an interview taken during the retrial in which she was vindicated of her prior accusations in which someone is giving his first hand account of Jehanne prior to the defeat of the siege of Orleans.

After many years of experience and observation, I think I can say with certainty, that you most likely DO have more than a smidge of artistic talent. The desire is the seed. Some people have that gift of photo realistic drawing, but with practice anyone can draw and paint. You just need the right materials and the time and discipline to practice, and some help from the saints. I hope you get the chance to make some art.

Thanks, that's very kind of you. I haven't been at the writing very long. When I'm ready to sit down, calm and clear, I try to put down the letters one by one. It hardly does justice to the old work of the monk scribes working by dim candle but as I move forward I think I'll get more control of it.

Elizabeth, I can't tell you how much this means to me. I never thought of it that way, or even believed it, presuming one either has "it" or not.
I'm making some major life changes and I believe I will take your advice. Thank you. Your comments are always inspiring in some way.

Thanks for your kind words, PerEvangelicaDicta! If you lived near by I would love to help you get started--and share materials. If you can find some cheap paper, or save and cut up grocery bags and cardboard boxes you're good to go.

(I used to be really, really uptight about working, because the supplies are so expensive, so it hindered my progress for ages.)

But I'll bet you a million dollars that you have untapped genius in there.

I look at art the way I'd look at running. Yes, some people have that extra ability that will put them in the olympics or on a pro sports team but nearly everyone still has the ability to run. Fast or slow... who cares? Never thought twice about it as a kid... you just did it because it was fun. Sometimes you're flushed and out of breath. Sometimes you trip over your own two feet. Big deal. Turn into a kid and just do things for no other reason than they're fun.
