"In His wisdom," says St. Gregory, "almighty God preferred rather to bring good out of evil than never allow evil to occur."

  • Everything that the Woke touches turns to shit. It's an evil blight on all that is good, true and beautiful at this point.
"Be not therefore solicitous for tomorrow; for the morrow will be solicitous for itself. Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof." [Matt. 6:34]

"In all thy works remember thy last end, and thou shalt never sin." [Ecclus. 7:40]

"A holy man continueth in wisdom as the sun: but a fool is changed as the moon." [Ecclus. 27:12]

Much like Mordor and Orthanc themselves. The Woke could be embodied into a rainbow ring, something a fαɢɢօt et al Saruman of many colours would covet.
The Woke is the Balrog that must be put down. But where our Gandalf for our age?

That meaning of the sacred dogmas is ever to be maintained which has once been declared by holy mother church. (Dei Filius)

  • My goodness, the 'woke' really do take everything, don't they?

I was looking forward to the TV series, but taking a look at those articles... maybe I'm setting myself up for disappointment.

  • For those who hath not done so, please listen to the BBC radio drama adaptation of LOTR.

It is superior to the movies. There is also an audio drama of Tom Bombadil from the tales from the Perilous Realm, to fill in the gap.
