I thought the Son was the center of the universe.
Oh! Nice thought!
Curiously, this is how theologians are approaching this movie as we speak. From a theological standpoint, it would be ridiculous for the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity to become incarnate on planet earth which He made, and then be subject to orbiting around the stupid sun in the sky, which He also made.
God does not run in circles around any created entity. Creation is at the service of God, not vice versa.
It is amazing to think that our universe expresses the truth of God, as our ancestors were taught so many generations ago! Like a rock, the truth never seems to change! It reminds me of the phrase, "there is nothing new under the sun."
What was true "yesterday," is still true today and should still be true "tomorrow." That's a very comforting thought.
The Truth, by definition, is unchangeable. Our Lord said, "I am the truth." Therefore, since God does not change, and Jesus is God, so too the truth does not change.
