George,
Your comics are usually done very well and convey the calm and power of the saints.
In the case of  St. Dominic and the heretic story, since the character was making fun of the Hail Mary, some Catholics took great offense and could not get past that part.

Since you mentioned welcoming constructive criticism I thought how you might redraw just the two offending frames of the story - you could have a narrator character explaining what the heretic is doing while having the Jacques character shouting expletives with drawn symbols (such as ?!~##) .

Although you would rather give the lesson pictorially, in this case you may have to resort to narration so as not to offend pious Catholics. I was not repelled by your story but I showed it to another Catholic and he thought making fun of the Hail Mary was offensive, even though you meant to show that it was blasphemous.

Thank you. That helps. I'm considering the change. Thanks, also to Elizabeth and Dolores. And to Mater for making the first post not by me on the thread that wasn't witch hunt themed. I'll be around!
