http://www.ew.com/article/2016/08/09/chronicles-narnia-reboot-silver-chair
according to TriStar, The Silver Chair’s new creative team plans to “tackle the continuing story with a fresh approach to capture a broad global audience"
It's an English story for English children. By the sound of this, Eustace will be a Somalian, and his classmate Jill will be Chinese.
They wanna reboot the franchise. I guess they have no choice, since they failed to keep up with production, and all of the actors are now adults.
Once more, a studio bastardizes a franchise, completely ignoring original source material.
I look forward to hearing about it on Midnight's Edge.

If it's done for the sake of diversity and nothing else, then it's poor filmmaking and characterization. Usually these characters are also flaming stereotypes.

Curious, is it by the same company that made the other most recent movies in the series?
