Sorry, the cement dried before I could add any explanation.  This is a very good film on St. Joan of Arc.  You might also find the transcripts of the trial interesting--of both condemnation and nullification.  They can be found here.

All I want to know, is why she has been known as Joan when her name was Jeanne'?  She was French, not English!

Joan is an English version of Jeanne.
