I'm looking for some solid Catholic audio books to listen to at home. Any recommendations? I can't seem to find many good audio book titles but maybe I'm just not looking in the right places.

I should mention that I prefer non-fiction or historical fiction. All subjects are of interest but I have been wanting a good Catholic history refresher lately, if anyone knows where I could find that in audio book form. Thank you!

I liked Taylor Caldwell's, Dear and Glorious Physician, A Novel about Saint Luke, so much I borrowed it from the library twice.  It is a long one, it was 23 cassettes. I like to listen to the audio books when I'm in the kitchen.  When faced with a basket of ironing, I listen to traditional sermons websites, because when I have ironing to do, I need all the Divine Inspiration I can get. :laugh2:

I know Keep The Faith has many audiobook mp3's and CDs for sale on their website. I dont know if they are still around though.

While I prefer to listen to lives of the saints and Catholic lectures, most of the audio productions I listen to are classics, radio plays, and golden age programs (like Suspense) over the radio. My favorites are the narrated historical records.

:laugh1: Yes I am a lucky bride whose husband does all his own ironing by choice, otherwise I would feel the same way.

I hadn't considered borrowing from the library. I just assumed they would have junk but I guess I could request audio titles and see if they would bring them in for me.
