I was inspired by Spouse of Jesus to put aside my harpsichord suite and work on a musical setting of the Holy Mass. So far, I have decided that it will be in G minor (g minor is thought to be the best key for evoking feelings of sadness, etc).....I have just worked out the first few measures of the Kyrie, and I love it, but it will be a long and difficult project. With any luck, I will finish the Kyrie by the end of this year. The instrumentation is for standard SATB choir (although I will divide the Soprano into Soprano I and Soprano II) and organ.

I hope that if I finish this, that it will serve for the greater glory of God. May God grant it.
