Oh, there are lots of Carnival songs....

Trouble is, most of those tunes and the carousing that ensues are cause for a 40 Hours Devotion in reparation.

How about Chant by The Benedictine Monks of Santo Domingo de Silos? That album of Gregorian chant went double-platinum and spent more than a year on the Billboard 200 chart (peaking at Number Three) after its release in 1994 — thirty years ago this week, in fact. The album's popularity also led to a couple of sequel releases during the '90s.
