Title: Old English Poetry in Translation

All of the writings we have in Old English come from after the conversion of the English and were written down by scribes in religious orders. The Catholic nature of these works is refreshing to imbibe, especially in light of how secularized and scandalous modern "literature" is. So from a historical and religious perspective, this archive is well worth sharing:

Glad to see Dream of the Rood and Judith both on there. Beautiful poetry.

Wonderful. I can still read Old English but comprehension of the texts is sketchy. :smirk: Been a long time since I studied such literary treasures.

Reminds me of Tolkien's Quenya language....
