Not sure if I am being paranoid here or even if there is reason to be paranoid not entirely sure what this would mean...
So I was looking at illustrations of Gustave Dore and I ordered a book off of Amazon of his biblical illustrations. Very odd thing the first two plates namely The Creation of Light and "The Formation of Eve" in the text omit a man-like representation of God that I see in many (not all) online copies of the same piece. I look online and this omission seems to be the more common version. But in several places the exact same illustration is shown with a representation of God in the 2 illustrations.
I find it very odd that God is omitted in these first two plates. I doubt that Gustave Doré a did multiple versions for whatever reason. I am trying to determine what is the canonical version of his illustration and if it has been altered over time and when for some agenda.
What are your thoughts??
