Thank you, I ordered it. There is also paperback for $10 less. Is Fr. Bolduc the same person Fr. Hesse worked with?

I’m not sure. The author spoke at our chapel after Mass today, along with Father Bolducs brother. He founded over 60 churches and missions for the SSPX including Nh St Vincent’s, St. Marys as well as the Angelus Magazine. He was the 4th priest ordained by Archbishop Lefebvre in the SSPX, and the second American priest.
Father Bolduc kept extensive journals all his life, which the author used for the books.

I’m about halfway through the book. What a heroic priest. He did so much for tradition but is very little know.

The SSPX had a mental reset in 1983 when the Americans, aka "The Nine", departed the Society. The Northeast and Southwest Districts were merged into one and the SSPX leadership developed amnesia regarding everything thst came before in these USA. Father Bolduc's legacy was part of what was forgotten.

Actually, I think he was the fourth American: the first was Fr. Gregory Post (August 15, 1972), then Frs. Anthony Ward and Clarence Kelly (April 14, 1973) and then Fr. Hector Bolduc (June 29, 1974).

I must have heard wrong, thanks for correcting.
