  • What do you think is the best printed biography of St. Ignatius?  I'm looking for something that is thorough yet readable, focusing on his spirituality and that doesn't get bogged down in too many details of his day to day life.

I'm listening to an audio book right now but it even details the color/material of his shoes!  Too much minutia for me

This EBook of The Autobiography of St. Ignatius (1900) looks interesting and is free online.

  • Sorry for late post; I'm new here, just saw this thread, but I very strongly recommend the book by James Broderick, SJ, titled St Ignatius Loyola: the Pilgrim Years.  I remember it as highly readable, though it's been a long time since I read it.  I'm scanning it now; would love to discuss it with anyone interested.
