    • Hymns in Latin and Middle English. I have been listening to this ever since the CD was released. It adds, for me, an additional solemnity to the feast, magnified already by the Polish tradition of Sw. Mikolaj I grew up with.

    Thank you so much for the link to the wonderful music. I too remember fondly the great devotion my family had towards this great Saint. In Slovakia, he is our patron (especially for Greek Catholics) as he is for Poland as well. 

    Here is a prayer I say quite often and especially today on our Saint’s feast day.

    Thank you for the prayer to St Nicholas. I cannot read Cyrillic, but transliterated text from Old Church Slavonic I have picked up more and more. Listening and reading material from Valaam monastery was my first major exposure. The Agni Parthene is a prime example. 

    Gospode pomliuj nas. Panie zmiluj sie nad nas. Kyrie eleison :pray::pray::pray::incense::incense::incense:
