  • Has anyone here ever heard Mozarabic / Visigothic Chant before?

Take a listen. It's quite astonishing to hear those familiar Latin prayers chanted in a style that is so strongly eastern in flavor:

  • The Mozarabic rite is a Catholic rite of Spain which was celebrated before the Arab invasion. For many years it was relegated to six parishes and a special chapel of the diocese of Toledo. Today there is a Summorificuм Pontificuм like rule that allows its celebration anywhere in Spain that a stable group of Catholics requests it.
