  • Isn't it interesting that these three words

    Overseer
    Supervisor
    Episcopus

Have the same exact meaning? But they have different connotations. For example, overseer seems a bit darker, with slavery connotations. Supervisor tends to have an employment or work context.

You have a supervisor after punching in. You have an overseer after being sold. You have an episcopus if you're a Catholic.

  • You just reminded me of the Chief Hebrew Overseer.....

Da pacem Domine in diebus nostris
    Qui non est alius
    Qui pugnet pro nobis
    Nisi  tu Deus noster

  • A word I have been hearing lately is "woke."

Looked it up finally, and this is what it said:  Woke culture presents itself as being against “hate,” but it would do well to look at its own track record of violence, persecution, and destruction of public property. Buildings are burning and people are being hurt in the name of woke sentiment. As a yardstick of what “woke culture” is all about, the picture we are receiving isn’t a good or flattering one and, if recent events are any indication, “woke culture” is, if anything, dark and intolerant and not at all awakened.

This site is one of the latest, but there are several others:  WOKE

    Please pray for my soul.
