  • Any other GenXers out there?

I remember this, but mostly just the intro. I'm pretty sure I only had the opportunity to watch this when I was having a sick day from school.
See, kids, we didn't used to have on-demand catalogs of millions of videos, TV series, and movies.
You were at the mercy of the TV schedule. I only got to choose from what was on TV after school on the 4 local channels.
We also had to share one TV for the entire family. We were poor.

I must say, they don't make em like this anymore. I was watching a video about "top 80s cartoons" and for a *bunch* of them, the narrator specifically mentioned how "they didn't dumb it down" and/or how mature the themes were, how good the writing was, etc. -- FOR KIDS. Meanwhile, in current year, they dumb things down to a ridiculous level, even for HIGH BUDGET MOVIES, AIMED AT ADULTS, nevermind cartoons. Imagine actually respecting the intelligence of your viewers -- even children! That really strikes me as novel, something we're definitely missing now.

The other thing that struck me -- how CREATIVE they were. Talk about "not afraid to try something new"! Sometimes to an insane level.

Anyhow, this show has a very catchy intro; I had forgotten about it.
