If you are a singer and/or musician, it is wise to set your sights high, even to the unattainable, so that you're ever growing and striving to be better. Have lofty goals and role models.
For example, the tenor voice of John Gary.
"Gary was considered by many to be one of the most talented of popular singers due to his extraordinary breath control and tonal quality of his voice. He had an exceptionally wide range of 3 1⁄2 octaves. His singing ranged from robust baritone to a high sweet tenor often in the same song. Many popular songs of the time were suited to his intimate style."
"A decorated U.S. Marine veteran, he held several underwater swimming records for both salt and fresh water."
He sings the best version ever of "O Holy Night" in my opinion.
Listen at 4:08 -- that's the last breath he takes for the REST OF THE SONG which he sings until 4:27. Absolutely amazing!
Here is my 2nd favorite of the 2 "medleys" on the John Gary Christmas Album. I say this is my 2nd favorite of the 2, because the other one has "O Holy Night"...
