The church has never defined the details of Genesis' and Our Lady's triumph.  But we know from Fatima that Her triumph is not completed, because she said "in the end...".  So it hasn't fully happened yet.  So showing Our Lady step on a snake during Our Lord's passion, makes no sense either theologically or story-telling wise.  Were protty's happy at that scene?  Yes, because they are uneducated heretics.  We can all agree on that.

If one wants to try and gauge why Catholic tradition is in such a mess, it is because the majority of Trads believe the imagery projected from Hollywood media, including that Mel Gibson, with his Mossad bodyguard, is the icon of Catholic militancy.

Pray more Rosaries asking for better discernment.

Gibson has a mossad bodyguard? That's a new one!

Here's Gibson 8 years ago conflating the United States enforcing its sovereignty against illegal trespassers to immorality, because some serviceman have names like Ramirez.

As if any hispanic-american who isn't malicious would want any hispanic coming into this country un-vetted. I wouldn't want people who look similar to me coming into this country without being vetted.

But Gibson came around, of course. Here's Gibson recently saluting the Trumpster:

Some Catholics are so desperate for any kind of validation that they latch onto these jw-approved celebrities.

I will say that when the Passion was released, and for some years after, I thought Gibson was truly anti-jwish. So I can understand the naivete of some.

Was the movie's depiction heretical?  No.  Because the church has never defined, nor any saint described what Our Lady’s victory will be.  When and how will Our Lady crush satans head?  We have no details.

Gibsons movie may have pleased the Potty’s but that’s the whole point - the potty’s are always half right.  Our Lord did defeat Satan on the Cross because as the New Adam, He redeemed the world from Original sin.  That was not Our Lady’s job, it was Christs.  And it was Christ’s job to start His Church.  The movie was Christ-centered, as it should’ve been.

Our Lady’s victory is to come.  Through the Church.  She became mother of the human race, ONLY AT Christ’s death and passion.  Christ did His job and She will now do Hers.
