1)The spirit of rebellion is not inherently wrong. Rebelling against the World is a good thing, in fact. Most people on this forum are rebelling against the oppressive fake society that has been forced upon us by the freemasons and their Vatican II pawns. Christians living during the Roman Empire's era rebelled against the barbaric pagan society. Only recently has the spirit of youth been corrupted by the left.

2)While I agree that using drugs or practicing fornication is sinful, I do not see why having a beard or long hair is a problem. In fact during much of France's history, all our kings had long hair and/or a beard, it was universally accepted as a sign of authority and power. Our Lord Himself had long hair and a beard as evidenced on Turin's shroud :

I agree, but the problem is that the rebellion of Rock was against traditional values and customs, and they only used long hair and beards because almost no one else did at that time.

What you say is true, but it does not apply to Rock music, since they used the rebellion and the different looks for the wrong reasons.

Still, I don't sympathize with the Trads who consider all popular music as coming from the Devil. It seems more like a really stupid Protestant notion.

I like Rock music. I don't have to agree with the philosophy to like it. I just avoid explicit and blasphemous lyrics.

I used to listen to heavy metal but I stopped doing so a very long time ago. At some point I found that type music to be incompatible with my goals. It was a good release of energy and in a way, it had its place in my 20s but looking back, that type of music put me in social circles where some of the influences were not ideal.

I wrote something not long ago, with  The intent was for it to be Catholic with a similar sound to them, I ended up writing a scathing parody called "Jewside". Catholic and secular influence does not mesh well together, I have a chip on my shoulder about it.

I did not mean for the link to embed, viewer beware of snark influences. "Carmine" in the video is not my kin. They all have fake last names. He may have met my father once my parents married in '03. I have no way to confirm that. My nephew is Ned. No Catholic influence in the video above just to be clear. Nor would a message likely mesh with it is my point.
