One thing that always makes me sad is when people say "oh no I won't sing or play an instrument I'm not very good at it"
Pal, nobody here's looking for a professional: normal, imperfect singing is what every human has always done before we got this weird modern hang-up about it.
Especially if people are daunted by instruments they should give singing a try it's mainly practice.
Chesterton has a quote about this, like he does with most things: "Once men sang together round a table in chorus; now one man sings alone, for the absurd reason that he can sing better. If our civilization goes on like this, only one man will laugh, because he can laugh better than the rest."
