Title: Death or Glory
Post by: Matto on August 08, 2019, 07:50:15 AM
Joe Strummer sung "Death or glory becomes just another story" in the song "Death or Glory". Wikipedia says it was written by Joe Strummer and Mick Jones. It was on the double LP London Calling. The band is The Clash. My favorite song off that album is "Jimmy Jazz". j a zz. . .. I loaned their debut album (the American version) to a friend named Daniela who is an artist. She never returned it and she told me how she had sex with a man she met in a night club while listening to the album I gave her. I think she is an artist.

What's up Matto?  You seem to be in a sort of existential-beatnik zone lately.  Everything well?

I am just trying to solve the riddle of rock and roll and motion pictures. "Papa was a rodeo"
I am feeling better than ever.
"What's up Matto?"
I respond: "the sun."

My father told me that Atlantis was Ireland. Remember that Ireland will sink into the sea seven years before the Last Judgment. Because it was so precious to Our Lord that he did not want it to be soiled by the paws of the anti-Christ. Is that true? It comes from mystics, ask XavierSem (https://www.cathinfo.com/profile/XavierSem/) which ones.

I am trying to find the good in poetry, film and rock and roll. The footprints of the good God among the snares of the enemy. The trap is sprung, the snare is broken, the sparrow flies free and David has slain Goliath.

Just musing.

I have a dream of writing fables. One hundred fables about the good God, the world, heaven, and hell.

I can dig it.  But your present muse is pretty crude.  Maybe I'm missing the pious subtext.

I'm not quite understanding why a Catholic would write such as thing as the post above.

Matto, there are places where you won't find good, that are better stayed away from.
The lyrics of that song are bad.

I know the song is EVIL. EVIL. EVIL. I am not promoting it but condemning it. Anyways I will to stay away from such trash for now . . . I will be happy. I am so young and I know so little. I feel isolated except for my Church friends and my family. God bless them.
