  • "The Christ of the University Brotherhood of Cordoba was created by a sculptor who is also a professor of the University of Seville, Juan Manuel Miñarro. Data was provided by scientific scholars of the Shroud.

  • Thanks for this information, AJNC.

    Having studied a number of images of the Crucifixion of Our Lord, it seems that a lot of artists knew this intuitively, without having seen the modern images of the Holy Shroud.  Although the Crown of Thorns represented as a helmet is very rare as far as I know.
