Yes, I have similar thoughts whenever I see Modernist depictions of Christ.
I'm almost completely convinced that the "Resurrectifix" is an icon of the Antichrist. It never sat right with me when I was Novus Ordo, and it definitely doesn't now.

I can't stand Marc Chagall. Technically not much of an artist ( although he could sometimes use color well) Just a тαℓмυdic propagandist. His stuff stinks.
My parents were professional portrait artists. My dad couldn't stand Chagall, Picasso, or any modern art or music. Mom couldn't either. Dad didn't even like Gershwin bc he hated jazz. Dad had a deep respect and love for classical art, especially Catholic art. I think its what made him so Christian-friendly and led to his conversion.
