  • Although I am not a fan of EWTN they do have two series by Dale Ahlquist on Chesterton that I am listening to.  So far they are very good so I thought I'd pass along the info for any other Chesterton fans.

  • Don't worry, some people are unable to think on this forum. I'll see if I can give it a listen- thank you for sharing!

I didn't thumb down Chesterton, but maybe the thumbs down was for Ahlquist.  Look at Gilbert magazine and you'll know why. Ahlquist's bread and butter comes from ETWN, so it's necessary for him to tow the NO party line.

  • Yes, that's why I prefaced my comment with not being a fan of EWTN.  They are modernist through and through. Ahlquist's commentaries on GK are excellent though.  I do not believe that someone's standing as a NO Catholic should disqualify him from having valuable commentary on literature.

In GK's day there was only the Mass of all time.  I'm sure he would be horrified by what has happened to the Church today.
