The Apocalypse Prize 2015 is a free entry online competition for religious artists that seeks to generate a greater interest in the treasures of Medieval Art.  Their website at www.apocalypseprize.com is replete with essays and videos to help artists better understand the Medieval way of expressing religious ideas.  There are $15,000 in prizes for different age groups.  The first prize is $7,000. The deadline is December 31, 2015.  I think this website would interest anyone who wants to better understand the artistic traditions of our Church.  Medieval art is the solid foundation of all the Catholic Art that followed it.
