There was a cartoon series called "King of the Hill" on TV for quite a while. In one episode, the main character's son, Bobby, decides to form (or join, I can't remember) a Christian rock band. At one point his dad exclaims, "Bobby, you're not making Christianity better; you're making Rock-n-Roll worse."
If they think they're going to bring youth to the Church with this, they're mistaken. They'll be dismissed as pathetic lame imitations and as trying too hard to be cool. When you have to TRY to be cool, you're not cool.
Now, what the youth would REALLY be attracted to is a beautiful solemn Traditional High Mass. People don't want to go to church and experience the same banal worldly nonsense that they experience during the entire rest of the week. Give them something different, and mysterious, and sacred ... and if they are open to the grace of God working in their souls, they'll be drawn to it.
