  • I keep hearing about all these "trad chapels" where things like this are said.  All I can say is that people on this forum sure do have a lot of experiences with some demonic "trad chapels".
I don't believe most of these stories.

  • I seriously hope none of you have daughters, and if you do none of them are ever subjected to verbal/emotional abuse. This isn’t about feminism, and this isn’t about snowflake women. Anyone who lies, frames, or leaves because of selfishness should get what she has coming to her. But to ignore that there are women who are suffering in the instances is immature, and dangerous.

I wonder what you would say about a man being subjected to emotional/verbal abuse. I bet he gets to leaves because she’d be an unfit wife. 🙄

  • OP here.

The man said his wife's parents were trying to dictate and control their life. It sounds like they are partly responsible for the divorce. Apparently the woman was a female version of a Momma's Boy. Anyone with a brain knows what a red flag that is (when in-laws inject themselves into a marriage). In-laws failing to know their place (minding their own business, and letting the husband be the head of the new family) can spell death for a marriage. Catholics have known this for centuries. It's even mentioned in many Catholic marriage books published before Vatican II. It was also part of the body of common sense possessed by most Catholic/European cultures and passed down from parents to children.
