At a public event, although held in a novus ordo church, a presider who is retired but taught theology at a Catholic seminary for a couple decades, said declaratively and in public that “all three Abrahamic faiths worship the same God.” I’m not asking if he’s teaching standard Vatican II indifferentism but from a Catholic view, is he in error?
Follow up discussion: Why does the post-Vatican II church teach indifferentism? As noted above, a novus ordo presider said, declaritively and in a public forum, (I was there. I am an eye witness.) that all three "Abrahamic" faiths worship the same God. Islam didn't come around until the 6th or 7th century (I don't care enough to find out the exact century) and if Islam is from Our Lord why didn't He prepare us for it? Now that I think about it, Our Lord did order the apostles to baptise all the peoples of the world in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Then, along comes Islam (allegedly also from the same God) and this new religion openly denies the Trinity. The other "Abrahamic" faith openly denies the Second Person of the Holy Trinity and has tractates in one of its "holy books" stating that Our Lord is not only in Gehennes but boiling in a real unpleasant liquid (The same God? Isn't it more likely that after their mission was achieved, any Jєω who held fast to his now no longer necessary "faith" was a follower or Satan and his angels? Also, what's with this whole "Abrahamic" stuff... Our Lord said "Before Abraham was, I am." He also said, "I am The Truth, The Way and the Light. No one comes to the Father except through me." Paraphrased, from memory. So, is the novus ordo actually leading us into some sort of one world government or are they just trying to negate Catholicism as a force to be reckoned with?
