Would God allow nuclear war?

    • Would God allow a Nuclear War? The death and destruction caused by such an event is unthinkable. Would God allow such destruction to occur? Why? For example, Would God allow a NATO Russia war with nukes?  Would trad Catholics be saved miraculously?

    • Many say nukes aren't real. There does seem to be some evidence for this. Lack of radiation sickness or flash blindness in Japan, the fact those 2 cities were immediately rebuilt, they weren't like radioactive like Chernobyl, etc. And why has no nation used nukes, small or large, since 1945? That's 80 years ago. There have been a lot of shady dictators during that time. And don't say "nukes are hard". How much USA technology was sold to other countries or stolen by spies? Plenty.

    It's funny how nuclear war, or even 1 nuclear bomb, just keeps not happening. No matter how serious things get.

    You contradict yourself when you claim God will not allow man to use nuclear bombs and then you say such bombs are fake. Tell tht to the victims of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. God uses man for chastisement.

    • I wouldn't be surprised if God allowed nukes to be used in war. I don't think it would be an all or nothing deal. I could see both sides using a few here and there at most. From what I've read and remember, a well made nuke only leaves dangerous levels of radiation for a couple weeks, maybe a 4-12 months until there's no radiation left. The situation I hypothesize is quite survivable.

    Who said they were the same? But it was implied that they both involve nuclear radiation. Nuclear radiation is supposed to be dangerous or even fatal to humans, and they are correct. We have nuclear power plants and uranium, spent fuel rods, etc. Why is there no Chernobyl today because of radioactive contamination, but radioactive fallout wasn't an issue with rebuilding those 2 Japanese cities just months after the bombings? Those cities considered those so-called nuclear bombings to be a minor setback, a mere inconvenience. It's almost as if they were just conventionally firebombed or something.

Wait a minute... they also said we should be afraid of COVID, alien invasions, asteroid impacts, flu outbreaks, climate change, conspiracy theorists, and extremist right wingers. Wait a minute!     As a result of an immediately noticeable spike in cancers, still births, and birth defects, especially thyroid cancers, the Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission (ABCC) was established in Hiroshima in 1946 to study the short and long-term effects of "the Bombs." Eventually the ABCC transitioned into the Radiation Effects Research Foundation (RERF) which still works today.

    How do I know of its work? When I was a grad student I spent three months studying in Japan. My lead professor was on the ABCC and I traveled with him from his lab to Hiroshima to pursue and witness the ABCC's work.

    A similar spike in cancers and birth defects was noted immediately after Fukushima. Despite lies from government authorities that Tokyo was out of the danger zone, evidence began to accuмulate that dust in Tokyo was indeed dangerously radioactive and once again there was and remains a significant increase in cancers, still births, and birth defects. Inhaled and ingested dust is particularly problematic because the radionuclides persist in place damaging nearby tissues. Predictably the Japanese government and press suppressed all that information.

    That said, there is a phenomenon termed "radiation hormesis," the observation that very low levels of gamma radiation are associated with increased health, but beyond that low threshold (low, not zero!) radiation is indeed deleterious to the health.  Unsurprisingly knowledge of radiation hormesis is virtually unknown because it is inconvenient to the dirt-worshippers' "green" "linear-no threshhold" nonsense.
