Yeh, I don’t know why I never thought of this b4, but this is a valid concern. If we take money from the public schools and give vouchers to access that $$ so kids can go to Catholic schools, doesn’t that mean that “representatives” of the taxpayers, ie: swamp creatures in DC (not always should be called that, but anyway) will be able to tell your kids what to believe and what to not? Will they be forced to learn “sex ed”?? God knows..

  • You got that right.  What it really does, taking vouchers makes you a public school and not a private/catholic school.  A sly trick!

Also it is prejudiced, because why not everyone get a "break".

So, whatever the public schools do, private schools will do the same.  And by the way, catholic is just a banner that you stand under.

  • It is over 50 years since Catholic schools in Australia commenced receiving government funds. You might find this article of interest:

Since the first day of state funding Catholic schools have become decreasingly Catholic, to the point where there is practically nothing of Catholic sybstance left. Just a token tip your hat to God, to make them look different from state schools.

No child can be forced to learn, if the parents take them out of the school for that lesson. Better to home school if at all possible.
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

it is up to parents and priests to keep kids Catholic

problem is so many priests are not actually Catholic.. or they have 2 personalities.. one catholic, one Mason or who knows what
