    Yes, I would.  Negativity breeds negativity.  

    I don't want any of their lives ruined.  If he acts tyrannical he will lose everything.  If he acts like a wimp, he could lose everything.
    The thing is I am a realist.  He needs people in his real life to help him.  If she won't see a priest, then he needs to go without her.  We here on CI, can only just pray.

    You’re not a married man yourself and you think you can give better advice? You don’t have to be in a foreign country to feel vulnerable as a man. It’s like this everywhere that a man feels like he can’t do anything to get the upper hand in his marriage because the state supports the woman. Even if she lies in court (which is bound to happen), they will take her side. There are many men who live by “happy wife, happy life” and their wives stills screw them over in the divorce court or in life. Which is what you are suggesting, to try and appease his wife instead of seeing through her bs. I understand you have sons and I wonder if they were in this exact situation (which I hope they’re never in) how you would feel?

    I understand the vulnerability of men.

    Do you have any real life experience of a man standing up to his wife's bs and winning?

    I see women tearing families a part and the fathers are left in the dust.  

    If my sons found themselves in this situation, then I would hope that the wife would accept council from her mother in law.   I would also expect my son to practice virtue.

    Wow. There is fault with both the man and the woman.  Do you not agree that the man must have picked poorly if he has this problem to deal with?  If the woman was on here complaining about her husband, I would be just as critical of her.

    In just two years I went from being extremely weak and emotional to the most pompous poster in CathInfo history.
