  • Why be afraid of computers or AI taking over and controlling your mind or body when you could be possessed by a demon after committing ONE mortal sin?

I think as Catholics we sometimes forget that we have a soul to protect, as well as our bodies.

  • I personally think that the AI/transhuman stuff is a pretext to allow demons to directly interact with humanity without the mediation of possession. They're using us to create avatars for them in our world.

  • This goes to show how far the world has fallen. Man thinks he's God. Man wants to choose his gender, decide if the innocent are worthy of life or not, and now he wants to engineer artificial beings. God help us.

This is a very strange way to look at life.

if your mind and thus your body is taken over, you have lost your free will and maybe even your ability to commit mortal sin.

Free will is the priceless gift of God. Why should we not be concerned about its theft?

Not to diminish the gravity of mortal sin but we know that we can be forgiven by God. Do we know the consequences of being rendered a mindless ‘robot’ without a will?
Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.
