Yes, I need to concern myself with the solution to the crisis. It is imperative to maintain the teachings on indefectibility and authority.
And you maintain the teachings on indefectibility and authority by judging the office of the pope? Pretty silly.
Once a real Pope is elected we will most definitely see the progressives utilizing the R&R principles to resist the new heretic Pope who is going against the last 60 years of Church "tradition".
The sedevacantists will never, not ever have a new pope. That's the one thing that is absolutely certain about sedevacantism, it's permanent.
Yes, Church teaching matters a lot to me. I would like to know very much if I am obliged to follow the Church's universal teaching or just the parts I determine is in accord with the ancient Church, just like the Old Catholics.
R&R's who don't care what the Pope teaches are Old Catholics, change my mind. :P
The universal teaching of the Church we are obliged to follow, as defined by The First Vatican Council:
"Wherefore, by divine and Catholic faith, all those things are to be believed which are contained in the word of God as found in Scripture and tradition, and which are proposed by the Church as matters to be believed as divinely revealed, whether by her solemn judgment or in her ordinary and universal magisterium."
R&R don't care what the pope teaches when it's heresy. OTOH, if he ever teaches anything Catholic, R&R depend on the sedevacantists to broadcast it all over the place. If he ever binds us to anything that we can be bound to without offending God, we will obey.
